IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORT APPLICATIONS
Please note that from 17 January 2011, additional safeguards were introduced into the passport application procedure for adult first time applicants and for those adults seeking to replace a lost or stolen passport. Please note that where the Department of Foreign Affairs webiste refers to 'An Garda Síochana',this should be replaced by one of the categories of person eligible to witness and application submitted in the Netherlands. The new AVATS visa system is now available in Embassy The Hague. Applicants are advised to use the new AVATS on-line facility when making an application. All applications must be made via the online visa portal. Paper applications are NOT accepted at the embassy
