Marriage in Lithuania

Irish citizens, who wish to marry in Lithuania, must obtain a certificate of freedom to marry. This certificate is known as a “certificat de coutume”.

Application forms for Certificats de Coutume and details of the requirements, procedures and fees in local currencies will be provided on request.

Certificats de Coutume will  not be issued to persons under 18 years of age without the written and witnessed consent of their parents or guardians.
